TITLE:                             Academy Performance Analyst
DEPARTMENT:             Analysis Department
REPORTS TO:                Head of Performance Analysis / Director of Rugby

JOB PURPOSE
Measuring & analysing KPI’s of our Academy Players and Opposition trends, Monitoring the progression to support both players and coaches so we can optimise on-field performance.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Academy
·       Responsible for the whole performance analysis delivery of u18s Training and Fixture Schedule. Covering projects inclusive of opposition previews, team, and individual reviews
·       Assisting players development – helping with their IDP Presentations
·       Maintaining online review platforms to ensure that the coaches/players can communicate/learn remotely
·       Build performance profiles using statistical reporting techniques

Junior Academy
·       Lead and support a learning environment conducive for younger players to ensure performance analysis work is maximised for player development
·       Strengthen the knowledge & understanding of Analysis for younger players – Establishing the ‘Bears Way’ throughout the Junior Academy
·       Responsible for setting up and managing all communication groups for the u16s/u15s Excel Programme’s North and South groups

Dual Registration/Loan Players
Responsible for Individual coding of Integrated Academy players that have played for other teams whilst being on Loan/Dual Reg.

First Team Squad
·       Supporting the Senior Analysis Department when needed:
Assisting with filming of Senior Team Training Sessions
Assisting with filming of Senior First Team Games

·       Head of Performance Analysis & 1st Team Analysts
·       Players and Coaches (inc DoR)
·       Academy Managers

Person Specification

Qualifications and experience:

Essential:
BSc in a Sports Science/Performance Analysis related degree
Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Knowledge of industry standard performance analysis software’s, such as Hudl Sportscode
Ability to interpret data & create interactive presentations & written reports that provide clear, concise, and professional feedback
Knowledge and understanding of rugby union
Open-mindedness to additional Roles & Responsibilities to what is listed under the General Responsibility section.

Desirable:
Experience of working within a high performance, professional sporting environment
Experience with player monitoring & workload management
·       Experience of working in a high-performance rugby environment

Salary:                          £18,000 – £20,000 P.A
Contract:                      Full time, 2 year fixed term
