Oxford United Football Club

Oxford United Football Club is looking to recruit motivated individuals to join the Club’s expanding Performance Analysis department for the Boys’ Academy and Girls’ Regional Talent Club for the duration of the 2017-2018 Season.

Reporting to the Head of Performance Analysis for Oxford United’s Academy, the successful candidates will be directly responsible to film games (using equipment provided) and code games (using software provided). The successful candidates will work closely with the Head of Performance Analysis for the Academy to meet the high standards of a professional environment and they will show initiative within a professional football club environment.

The post is unpaid but successful candidates will gain knowledge and experience working with industry standard software which is necessary for future employment within this field of expertise.

Essential Requirements:

High level of IT competency
A good understanding of football
Fluent and literate in English
Committed for the time period outlined below
Live within 60 miles of Oxford

Desirable Requirements:

Full UK driving license
Previous experience of performance sport environment
A degree/masters within sport (can be ongoing)

Time commitment – The requirement for successful candidates is to film one game on weekends (typically Saturday or Sunday) from 10am until 2pm approximately. Successful candidates will code the games ready for the following Wednesday each week. It is paramount that the successful candidates are committed for the entire season. The duration of the internship would be from the 7th August 2017 to the 6th May 2018.
