Senior Performance Analyst – London Scottish

 

Job Description

London Scottish is excited to accept applications for the role of Senior Performance Analyst. This is an exciting position for analysts looking to take the next step within performance analysis. The role will involve heading up the performance analysis provision made available to the London Scottish 1st Team.

 

Contract: Full Time (including weekends & overnight travel)

 

Start Date: June 2017 (with a hand over period at the end of May)

 

Reports to: Head Coach

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

§  Coding of all first team games both home and away

§  Providing post match analysis in the form of video and a statistical report

§  Preparing the management for the upcoming games by presenting video and statistical analysis of the opposition

§  Perform longitudinal studies of team performances

§  Filming and coding of training sessions

§  Assist in other areas

§  Make sure that all work is completed on time to a suitable standard

§  Ensure confidentiality at all times

This is an indicative list and not exhaustive of all roles and responsibilities

 

Essential Skills:

§  Minimum of 2-years experience working within a professional rugby club.

§  Excellent knowledge of rugby with a sound understanding of attacking and defensive principles

§  Experience using Performance Analysis software, primarily Sportscode and Nacsport

§  To have attained a Sports Science degree (2:1 and above) or a relevant subject area

§  Strong IT skills and experience using both Apple and Windows software (including PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel and Numbers)

§  Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work

§  Attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively

§  Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative

§  Committed to working unsociable hours, including weekends and evening matches plus bank holidays

§  Proactive attitude

 

Salary: £18,000-21,000 (dependent on experience)
