This is an exciting opportunity to join a full-time professional club, currently ranked as one of the top 24 clubs in England. This is a rare chance to be an integral part of our support team, working with experienced performance staff at our high-class training facilities at the Trailfinders Sports Club in Ealing, West London.
The role is ideal for current students or analysts from an amateur club, wishing to develop their skills within the field of Performance Analysis, and will provide a unique opportunity to gain experience in an applied setting. You will be heavily involved in the filming and distribution of training and match footage, and will gain important roles and responsibilities into areas such as pre-match, live and post-match analyses, as well as conducting longitudinal studies of team performances, as your experience and confidence grows. Expert training and mentorship is provided throughout and you will be invited to all in-house training to aid your continued professional development.
Current enrolment on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within a relevant subject area is preferable, although not essential. You may also have a successful record and experience of working with sports teams, or a history of volunteering. Prior knowledge and experience within rugby, working with video cameras, computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and analysis software (predominantly SportsCode) will be considered advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Successful candidate(s) should expect to start in June 2017 and work with the club for the duration of the rugby season, ending April/May 2018. The opportunity is to be considered flexible, with the possibility of multiple positions, including full-time and part-time hours, being available. A typical working week is likely to follow these hours of work (to be considered a guide and not fixed hours of work):
· Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, between 7am and 4pm.
· Up to 6 hours on both a Saturday or Sunday afternoon; to include filming home/away games and assisting with post-match analyses.
· 1-2 of the above days, between 7am and 4pm.
